World Record bike. But different.

Thought this would make a nice change from all those sub-20lbs weight weenie specials on these forums. :)

At a little over 4,800lbs 'Kleine Johanna' is officially the world's heaviest bike.

Built by Sebastian Beutler, it has 35 forward gears:

There isn't enough OA or Evapo-Rust in the world.

I've read that its top speed is 18kph. A useful speed for getting from A to B in city traffic, but it won't get you into trouble. At least not in Amsterdam. :)

"18kph" - did it say how steep the downhill was?

Sure there is.

But getting the frame out of the swimming pool you used as a soak tank might be a bit difficult.:)

It won't 'bunny hop' but will flatten a bunny.

What's all the fuss? It's just a Varsity.

On the other hand, there's enough material that structural failure due to rust is a very distant threat.

It's patina!

Is this the original fat tire bike? What rim width is optimal? Pumping that front tire to pressure is going to take all day.

35 gears and training wheels? You can do better on a regular bike with off the shelf 3x12 gearing

Guy's a genius...
Would be a good converstation starter anywhere, but definitely in a Zwift group.

That's fantastic! :)
