Anyone know anything about Savoy brand bikes?

Hello folks, I recently was given a Savoy TX300 (photo below) and was wondering what you all know about this bike and the Savoy brand in general. I'm inclined to think it's just an 80s bike boom department store model based on looking at it, but does anyone in know more about it? Would it be worthwhile to list on Craigslist for less than $100 for someone who just needs a bike? (I'm thinking the kind of person who would buy a bike from Walmart anyway, not anyone looking for a nice c&v bike. I'd at least let them know it's nothing special.)

Specs are as follows:
Stainless steel 27" rims
Lee Chi brakes
No-name brake levers with suicide levers and no hoods
Sunrace stem shifters (non indexing)
Frame tubing is not specified, but it's pretty heavy, so I'm guessing it's straight gauge
Solar cranks
Falcon FD and RD
6 spd freewheel
no-name hubs

It's in pretty rideable condition as it is right now, so I'm thinking I could list it if I just did some basic checking over, lubrication, and adjustments of the cables and bearings.

Savoy is affiliated with Royce Union. Basic bike. Made in various countries. That's all I know!

ETA- That's actually a pretty handsome bicycle. I like the lined lugs. I would ride that as a grocery getter.

It looks a lot like the Claridge I picked up for the Clunker Challenge. Pretty much the same parts:

Thanks for the info on the Royce Union connection. You're right about the lugs, they make the Savoy look much nicer than it is. It's quite heavy unfortunately, maybe even thirty pounds, which is kinda ridiculous I think, even for a steel bike. It'd be good for riding somewhere flat.

There was a coaster 26 x 1 3/8 Savoy at the local co-op for months but it landed in their dumpster. Basic describes it.

Near and dear to my heart

I couldn't afford a Schwinn Stingray back in the day. I bought a purple Savoy Stingray. Loved that bike. It was basic. But it was mine!!!

I would give much to have another. I would have a blast on the MUP's.

I like it. With a few adaptions it would make a really lovely Sunday tourer.
