So I've "invested" in some new stuff (while still using the C&V Bianchi frame that I like the feel of):
R7000 group set
Conti GP5000 tires
PSIMET wheels
Garmin 830
Garmin Varia
Stages Left crank PM
New handlebar, stem, and pedals to tweak the fit a bit.
I feel like there's something missing...oh, I got new shoes, too.

Also, y'all are a bad influence .
Pictures were going to be shared as before and after once everything is in hand.

Sweet! Look forward to the pictures. We're not a bad influence, we're just good at connecting your inner bike self to your wallet.

Competitive Cyclist, but they're not expecting a shipment to arrive until next week I think? Placed the order 10 days ago. That was the only place that even attempted to give a time frame.

That's one heckuva nice parts list! :thumb:

Also, the concept that "investment" only correctly refers to monetary investment for monetary return is the product of internet know-it-alls. No quotation marks are needed.

You’re all invited to my next cookout. Any recommendations for a cheese?

Today I was “working” from home. That consisted of a short mtb ride, walking the dogs, some paperwork, some phone calls, receiving two Instacart orders, using up the withering tomatoes (salsa roja and chicken tortilla soup, which in turn used up the chicken stock and most of the corn tortillas), having lunch (chicken tortilla soup), texting my intern, using up the overripe bananas (banana chocolate chip muffins and a banana chocolate chip snack cake that is soon to be iced with peanut butter buttercream), individually wrapping and packaging the muffins for the freezer, and then checking out the Addiction thread.

Soonish we shall throw some brats in the smoker.

I am restocked with limes which means that I’ll go for a Classic Daiquiri made with that fancy pineapple rum. Once it gets to an acceptable cocktailing time of the day.

$1300? That seems outrageous. Is it really that collectible/desirable?

Lol. I picked up the boxes and thought they were empty. Had my budget been able to stretch to carbon rims I think they could have floated here.
