I was looking at this controller and wondering how it turns on

i would say one of those wire goes to a manual switch to turn on and off, of course the manual switch is a separate component

Thanks, I think it nunber 11 as it has 2 reds that need to touch to turn on but not sure, it a difficult for a newbie to wire up an electric bike

does it come with wiring instructions if so then that is how it would work as you mentioned 2 reds.

Another switch I like is to have a switch turned off completely from battery to controller

I do like having my batteries come with a switch. Failing that, the controller can work, but I usually just jump the wires, or go to home depot and get a simple low voltage switch to plug in there.

The "anti-theft power line" in their picture probably needs to be switched to battery power to start the controller. But their website never mentions that,

I sure would like to know what that 3.3 speed line does.
