No sense in me providing the link, it's super NSFW.

That was not the show, but I have heard that bit.

Also 6'2". Back in my starvation days I went from 230 to 175 in something like 8 months. Lowest I've ever been since I was about 11 or 12. I could easily count all my ribs. When I visited my parents they were shocked. Father told me I was stupid, he didn't know it wasn't by choice. Mother didn't cry but came close.

She’s a beast (a good beast)! I remember how much she struggled recuperating after the accident.

:bday:

What if you have to stop to catch your breath, and then get back on but never walk?

A friend asked once.

:bday:

After our crash in 2016 where she was laid up for 5 weeks with broken bones (7), breast cancer in 2017, and again having multiple fractures (10) in 2018 after another accident, she’s come back this year with a vengeance. :thumb:

disclaimer: I may have miscounted a few fractures. :foo:

Maybe tomorrow. My ex’s new anodized Engin frame will be on display. Now if the builder could only get the SRAM 1x parts for it.

I didn’t have to starve myself. Just stopped eating so much bad food. That was when I also started riding as an adult. I had a great schedule my final semester. Three hour gap in classes Thursdays and no classes on Fridays, among other things. Left me opportunities to get in rides during the day.

I worked in the cafeteria as a stock boy. Long shifts carrying heavy loads, often using the stairs. My feet started to hurt so I saw a doctor. He examined me and then said “You know why your feet hurt?” Me: “No. Why?” Him: “Because you’re fat. You need to lose weight.” One of the best pieces of medical advice I ever got.

Under 177 today.

You'll see. You'll all see.

200lbs was my heaviest(175-185 is ideal). I’m a narrow framed person.

I would love to be a lean 177# cyclist again. That’s going to take some time for me to get there the right way. It’s not easy for me to gain 36#.

We had a good ride. It was colder than I expected (and had gloves for) so the first 90 minutes were numb hands and a bit chilly. Temps around 25F and front-loaded with descents. Brrr! It finally warmed up and ride was was perfect. Except for the French shower who buzzed us.

So sick of that crap.

We started at right about the freezing mark and warmed up quickly, especially when “winter pace” became downright summery and I was much OTB and sucking wind. I did a session of VO2max intervals on the trainer on Tues and I was still feeling it in the vasti.

You should ride up to Yarnell a couple times before you pack on the pounds again.

LAJ 11-06-21 12:04 PM

It was a weird day. I watched the temps drop from when I got up to the ride time. Sun came out from behind the clouds, then it started to warm up quickly.
