Welcome to the Rockies world. All the big market teams have transplants here. The World Series games here were almost like a Red Sox home game.

Besides the Dodgers fans living local, quite a few drive over from California for games.

A lot of Dbacks fans are a couple blocks down watching the Sun's, that's why I got these $5 tix :)

Saddest of all, it seems we've lost our organist. Last game it didn't sound like the same guy as before. Tonight I havent heard a peep out of the Hammond.

Years ago I had a client with a big house on the side of a hill in Austin. He had the typical infinity pool and lush grounds. But, he also built a 60í waterfall on one side of the property that flowed into a creek at the bottom of the hill.

One year when they had drought conditions, the Austin paper printed a list of the top ten residential water users in the city. Yep, he made the list. He was in good company though as Lance Armstrong was on the list also.

Amazing finish to Grizzlies/T-wolves game.

Surely you aren't at another snoozeball game.

I'll likely be at 95% of Dbacks home games that don't overlap with work and I can get into for less than $10.

Being at a baseball game is pretty much the best thing you can do.

Oh, maybe that wasn't the final. The crowd still went nuts. :)

Is Indy still in Detroit?

Right next door in River Rouge...

CSL Tadoussac in a very calm Rouge River as a 3 unit CN 383 manifest heading to Flat Rock, cruises by in the foreground over the Conrail bascule bridge.

Have always liked that CN livery. For a few years we rented a cabin in the Poconos and would usually see an NS train with a run through CN locomotive in the lead on the former Lehigh Valley main on its way to N. Jersey.

Same for driving a fuel efficient car. While you're driving a hybrid or e-car, there's 10 people passing you on the interstate at 80 mph in a large gas-guzzler.

I guess one can only do what they think is right and figure the universe will take care of the rest.

It's supposed to get down to 38 in Morgantown Saturday night. It will probably be colder in the woods at French Creek. At least I will have the Philly bike club picnic to look forward to. My route just happens to pass right by it on Sunday.

There's nothing good about water wasters.

That's just down the street from where I work in Melvindale That's marathon oil refinery. I 75 over Fort street.
Edit; That's a weird angle for me, I'm on the other side looking back normally. That's on the wrong side of the salt mine from me. Messing with my head man!

We visited Marathon when we were out there last month. Huge customer of ours. Went to the lab. Met the guy who, among other things, tests samples for octane levels.

I work with people who have been down in that salt mine. (It's a big customer as well.) They say it's really cool (literally and figuratively) down there. Our trip was on such short notice that we couldn't arrange a tour. Personally, I have no interest. With my luck, the thing would collapse and I would end up the subject of a Gordon Lightfoot folk song.

Okay, this made me chuckle out loud.

Well, around here, you're likely to be passed by an e-car. Teslas are like belly buttons here.
