Another 40 miles today between my Poprad and Soma Smoothie. Now 3 days for another115 miles to get my 2nd ever 1000 mile month. I thought about getting another 15 in, but it was 9:40 and time for me to get out of the sun. Even if is not that hot temp wise, the intense mid day sun is something to I need to limit my exposure to. I have had a fair amount of whittling by the dermatologist, on top of all the freezing of areas.

15.7 and 800. Left at 6:30am and home by 8am to avoid the predicted 90F temps. As is my thermometer says 84F at 8:45am.
It breaks tomorrow if the weatherman is correct. |

destressing 45 miles.

56mi, 2519ft.
Intervals day, so was mainly about that with easy spinning in-between the hard efforts. Finished up with a cruise along the beachfront, seeing what the tourists are up to. https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...1071cf2119.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...e437ad4b52.png |

Huh? Is that like walking uphill both ways? I prefer to ride downhill both ways. :backpedal:

No actual ride today, a quick spin around my neighborhood to check a wheelset change and brake adjustment. Y'day I hit the 1,000 mile June I was looking for. So, I am pretty much caught up from my time off this year. I did 400 miles in 9 days, now a day off.

Today I rode a nice 38 miles in sunny and warm weather here in the PNW.

41 Miles to kick off July.

34 miles on another sunny and warm day in the PNW

Found a road closed to non-vehicle traffic that climbed relentlessly between 12-17%. After I mile I quit due to being totally annihilated. Who knows where it goes since it is not on any maps - but was paved. I am guessing a radio or cell tower way up the mtn-side. What I didn’t count on, on the way up was the descent. Had to stop three times to let the brakes cool since they were almost glowing and was afraid of rapid fade or failure. Total climbing was 1800’.

early (for me) 31-spot.
|
Obtained a bit more sleep than expected, & got up before the early bird to worm out 100 [+/-2] damp miles... falling asleep early isn't always a bad thing (looking @ you FOMO folks) .

I am having trouble (once again) navigating to the end of this thread. I get returned to page 155. I can forward to 159 or Reply 3975. I can forward by editing the url to 159 but 160 does not work and sends me back to 155. I can use the drop down to select a page but, again it will not got to 160.
Let's see if entering this reply takes me to the end or not. I must have a setting wrong somewhere. edited to add: Well, I finally found my way to the end by setting my options to CONTINUOUS SCROLL which is not my favored reading method. |
Three separate rides today. Two on my Dahon folder (total 31km) and one on my Giant (37km).
|
15.6 and about 800 feet and it was 70F and muggy for this place.
|
72 miles and about 5,000 feet. first long ride in a few weeks. tough start in fog so dense the roads were wet, and some nasty headwinds. but overall a nice ride through some beautiful roads.
