It looks original (other than the tires). What do you guys think it's worth in the condition it's in? I think $950 is too much, but really don't know how rare these are. Thanks for the help.

Also on ebay for that price. A nicer one sold on ebay recently for $550......... Pass.

World's cheapest tires on there by the way. Used them in my flip years on lower cost bikes I was selling.

And don't fall for the "rare" game. In the world of collectibles, rare often is not a major factor. The example I always use is the early Mustang. In the first two years, Ford made over 1 million Mustangs. Not rare at all. Meanwhile, a competing rare car in that era was the Rambler Marlin. I think they made about 25,000 of them. Guess which one is valuable?

Chain and brake cables look rusted.

Small dollars to replace.

The International is a very nice bike....BUT........is overpriced IMO...by about 40 % !!!!!

Now...if you LOVE Raleigh Internationals and you want that bike, go take a look. Often if you are there in person and give the seller an education ( nicely) about bikes, they are pretty reasonable.
I think $ 500 is fair
Explain that it is going to need things replaced and greased. And if you cannot do it , you will have to bring it to a bike shop.

That will be around $ 250.00 depending on location.

The Ford Mustang came out in 1964. My Dad had a 1967 289 - V8 He WON it for a DOLLAR !!!!!!! in 1967 !!!!!!

I have not seen that many 1964 -1968 Ford Mustangs on the road..
They were prone to sever rust so not many survived....

So around here, they are rare.:)
Have not seen any Rambler Marlins either :):)
BOTH are VERY VALUABLE :):):):)

I owned a '67 Mustang with a 289 V8. I wish I still had it more than any of the bikes I have owned over the years.

I have that same bike, i'm going to disagree for the most part with the previous people that have commented, these are excellent bikes .. maybe i disagree because i paid $950 for mine, but it was fully serviced with Turbo S tires on it
and pretty much ready to go, but that was over a year ago and it is a fantastic bike i don't regret buying.

Mine had full campy brakes also... and a white silca pump.. a brand new Brooks saddle with waterproof cover, however even if you deduct a couple hundred for those extras, i think $500 would be a Bargain, the paintwork looks excellent as do the decals/transfer that can be seen in the pictures, if i wanted one i would pay up to $700 from what i can tell in the pictures.

Opinions ..

I would talk to the person who owns it . It is worth a try because that is in nice shape per the photos. If you want an early seventies International that is a fine example, but it does need some attention. Then again, if after looking at it , you and the seller may come up with something that would work for both of you.

Thanks guys, my thoughts exactly. If I can get it for $300, I'll go for it. Already have too many bikes (yes I know n+1) and want to build a carbon frame up. Thanks again for the comments... For the record, like my 1974 Mirella and my sons 1973 Motobecane Le Champion, we would mostly just look at this one...

I'm a hard pass on this one as said cheap tires and rust, I also see no bar wrap overextended stem and low seat likely one are both are stuck also the near model specific headset may be off based on pics. All right with nicer new consumables I agree this could be $600-700 bike as it sits for a local CL sale I really only see 250-300$ to the right buyer who really wants this specific bike and is willing to spend another $200-300 and 20hrs + work to to get everything right.

I see no rust on frame. Chain and cables are cheap fix. Paint looks very good. Agree it is overpriced. Widow may not know realistic value.

I don't think $350 will get a very positive reception.

$550-650 the higher price if 700C

Another comparison for you. This one has been on the local CL for months. IIRC it started at $1,200 and has steadily dropped to $900. Judging by the pics alone, it looks like a much nicer bike than the OP’s prospect.

I keep watching to see how low it goes before it disappears from CL. My guess is $800.
