Very weird. Last night, I experienced one of those last page lockouts and couldn't see page 154 on PC/Chrome. I can now see the new last page, page 155, but still can't access page 154. Odd.

What are those skinny, little shift cable tubes called and how do I get my hands on one? The FD shifting effort on the Domane was never as light as the Haanjo or the Cervelo, and I'm thinking that it may have been because it didn't have one of those tubes and the cable was rubbing the frame and seeing increased friction.

....and never mind. I found a section of cable housing, cut it open and took the liner from there. :D

It would be a nice feature to have, though. I could program the route and spend the time meditating.

Kudos, but I'm still confused. Does the cable go around the outside of the BB shell with no guides? I've seen that done with steel frames, but there's still usually a groove cast in to the BB shell.

The lightest front shifting I've ever experienced is with the Dura-Ace 7900 levers on my Trek. There's a spring inside the lever that offsets most of the FD return spring tension, and it feels like there's nothing connected to the shifter at all. I'm still getting used to it, even after 200 miles. It always feels like I'm going to throw the chain off the outside of the big ring.

There's a black plastic guide on the bottom of the BB, but it doesn't extend the entirety of the cable contact; the cable sits in a groove where the cable comes up between the chainstays, but that looks to be... frame. No slickery treatment of any kind that I can see.

Yup, that's what it's like on the Haanjo and Cervelo - very light.

Thanks for the idea. I was wondering too. Even with that stuff, the front action on my R3 is not exactly light. Might benefit from a schpritz of PTFE.
