These days I plan my longer ride around available hydration. Velo Vol would not approve :innocent: |
It’s scorching out.

Yesterday I finally got around to calculating the grade of my driveway, because this bad boy is the primary reason we need to relocate. As we get older it’s just too hazardous to keep cleared in the winter. So I dragged out the self leveling laser and the tape rule and calculated the driveway to have a grade of 25%. Needles to say I’ve never attempted to ride up there even though it’s only about 50’ long. #kneebuster

How 'bout those Brewers?!!!!!
The last Spring training game we saw was the Brewers and I'd managed to snag some seats up front so I got to say "Must be in the front row!" |

Storm blowing in from the South. Longsleeves on.
|
We continue to have a coolish, rainy summer. Daily rain is "the norm", or used to be. Hasn't been so in the twelve years we've lived here. Such a treat to have a storm blow through every afternoon. It doesn't always rain, but it does always cool down. And it cools down from being not very hot in the first place. Thus the longsleeves.

Fairly sultry weather for the morning ride. I brought 3 litres of water on my back. https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...061451e306.jpg |
Another day, another OMG Trek on the bookface.

Not super hot here, but monsoon season is here, so more humid than normal.

650b(?) IGH conversion with handlebars to that would make Grant Peterson happy. |

AG is once again making noise about gravel bikes.
:bday: She doesn't really grasp why her SystemSix isn't suitable. |

I have a couple hundred miles on them now, and really do like them. The DT Swiss hubs are smooth, build is excellent, the weight is, well, light, they behave well in the wind and look great. So yes they are treating me well. :thumb:

The warning sign is not a confidence booster. You sure it’s ok to drink?
I have drank it for years, and know people who's family have drank it for generations, it tasty, and freezing cold. The water is safe, the sign is a liability thing, all the springs in the area have similar signs. |
