Yup, both of the new 303 wheelsets, the 303S and the Firecrest, are hookless rims that are tubeless tires only. Again, you could run the tubeless tires with tubes, but that's just silly.

So a friend my of mine has recently been have trouble with his chest area chaffing really bad while riding. Do y’all wizards have any wisdom that I can pass along to him? It’s definitely not me. :innocent:

I get that too. Most unpleasant. Depends on the jersey. Skin lube helps a lot, but make sure it's water soluble or it'll ruin your shirt. Might ruin fancy tech fabrics anyway.

I've never done this kind of volume in a week before and I'm definitely feeling it. Pretty much all day yesterday I would try to stand up to get over a hill and my legs were just "lol no".

I was hoping to do 30 this morning. I took it nice and easy and I still had to stop at 23. Tomorrow’s my last shot before so go back to work, but they are calling for rain.

If the nipples are bleeding put Band-Aids on them.

I get it right on the flat of the chest, but my tits are small.

Bah Humbug 06-19-20 09:12 AM

I never get chafing from riding. Swimming and running, sure, but riding? :foo:

What exactly is chafing?

Maybe you could look into an augmentation?

Think insurance would cover it if I get a letter from a shrink?

Might be worth a shot. I hear it does wonders for your confidence.

Same. I'm suspicious of a pedal.

I’m also a relatively slow descender. Blood thinners and crashing don’t mix well. In 2016 I let myself get up to about 42 mph on a long mountain descent. Fully-loaded bike. Wide road with a good surface, no traffic and great sight lines. I was impressed with myself. I usually won’t go over 35.

No loaded bicycle, but that's about what I naturally top out at. I don't force the issue at that speed.

He may try this. As far as the compression shirt goes, that would work in the fall but summer time here is awful hot.

You can say that word? I thought it was censored. Maybe just the singular?

Test: tit, you can say it.

datlas 06-19-20 10:33 AM

The censor is slacking in its old age. Maybe we can even call it ******** (stupid) ?

I wear the heat gear compression throughout the summer. The swamp cooler effect works well for me.

It knows you're a licensed independent practitioner who is, ipso fatso, using it appropriately.

Interesting. Skin-tight jerseys are definitely less chafe prone.

+1. I always wear a baselayer for this reason.

It’s not hard to completely bypass it and post whatever you want. I wonder if there’s a sample word I can use that won’t get me a scolding... :foo:

Tough to say. I have had my wrist slapped for deliberately circumventing the censor, but it probably depends on the situation.

For example, finding a creative way to say the F word will get you in trouble....but an anthropology discussion about **** sapiens is probably ok. H omo sapiens.

As in titmouse. Still can't say ****** though. I would like a five year old level explanation for that. Especially now that we have the link.

seedsbelize 06-19-20 11:54 AM

I rode the crit bike today. Haven't ridden it in months and months. And haven't ridden at all in months. It felt slightly twitchy, as in I couldn't take my eyes off the road at all. I don't remember having that problem in the past, once I got the headset adjusted properly.
Sure is a nice ride though, otherwise
