Reverse drop bar look.
|
I've seen upturned bars for years, but that is a first to see backward bars on a fixie (or single speed of sorts).
Based in the seat height, that frame may be on the large side for the rider. It may be a choice to have swept back bars to make the reach slightly shorter. Handlebar tape wear patters seem to indicate that the bars are routinely held in the swept back position. It is possible the bike was purchased with the bars reversed and turned up. And, rather than reversing them again, they were simply turned down. |
problably not a bike guy , even the common sense make us cheeck on internet if we don't know something.

Maybe it's the owner's approach to pursuit bars!?; what I find interesting is how long will the seat/seatpost combo last, without a binder bolt...(on 2nd thought, maybe that's why it's so low...stuck in), and the brake lever position is...hmmm...different.

Looks like a few problems when trying a 180 degree sharp u-turn
|
Looks like if you put your hands on the
" drops", the corner of the "tops" will be in the way of your arms. |
Never seen that version of bum bars before.

The yellow makes it look like a ram's horns. Very cute!

When I was in my youth, we would turn our bars that way and cut bottle rockets in half and the with our zippo lighters we would ride around with the bars loaded with a rocket and light them and try to hit each other as we rode. It was an all out burn, wreck, and fight through the chaos. As crazy as we were, it sure did teach us cycling skills we did not even realize we were doing lol. Freedom fighters on bicycles. And then trips to the doctors with our parents swearing we would never ride again if we did not stop…..we never were short on ideas for danger lol to replace other dangers

ha ha, that is funny. we had bottle rocket fights too when we were in our teens.
