Slingshot Stems
 

Hey all just got my hands on a freebee slingshot stem with some townie hanldebars. Am waiting for the perfect bike to put them on (think chome Ross,mongoose or Diamond back,GT) Anyhow you folks are the best inspiration and I’d love to see pics of your ride with similar setup.

I've got one of those stems- My secret plan involved sanding the clamps enough to fit a set of drop bars in there.

It never got past dry fitting the bars... Hanging up in the garage.

I have one too but have yet to decide which bike it should go on. And I've been debating for a few years now. :lol:

Are those .833 or 22.2, mixing my units here?

I like Mother's aluminum polish for alloy, for steel parts I use Turtle Wax chrome polish after the 'ol aluminum foil rub. Available pretty much anywhere auto cleaning supplies are sold.

Man, I should get one of these for my Colin Laing tandem! I could use my seat tube reamer to make the holes big enough to take road bars. It would be epic early '80s funk. :D

I would love to find a sling shot or bulll moose one day - did find this on a 80s Miyata Trail Runner. more of a bludgeon :D

I have half a dozen or more in my vintage MTB stash. I can’t find enough frames to put them on. Yet I keep buying more.

They are all over eBay.
