This was in the news a month ago, Purdue University clock tower. The guys in the bucket are very, very lucky the lift didn't go over.

That'll buff right out.

I'd like to know what the sink rate and gross weight was on that "touchdown." Jets usually just don't break up even on a hard landing and that thing broke up without the nose gear ever touching down. Looks like the cockpit breaks off and I'm thinking "I've seen crashes like that and crew survived so maybe there is hope" and then the back end of the jet lands very close to the cockpit section and think "Uh...maybe not."

Three of the four man crew dead last I checked, the fourth may or may not be hanging on. Kind of sketchy news updates.

Makes you wonder why this was being filmed, was there a reason to suspect problems with landing?

And it makes me think of a crabon frame assploding, but with more fire.
