Event: 2015 UCI Track World Championships (18-22 February)

the UCI will be broadcasting live video from onbike cameras during certain events. and that's pretty cool!
but, it also says that during these events, to ensure fairness, everyone's bike will have a camera on it. this makes me wonder what events they'll do. match sprint, team sprint, and team pursuit seem possible; mass start races seem a lot harder to pull off. |

I think this is one idea that may get new fans interested. Just like on-board cameras on NASCAR cars.

I could swear there was a Revolution series race wherein they had mic'd up and put a camera on one of the Team Sky riders. Am I imagining things?
This is the way of the future. Every single F1, NASCAR, LeMans car is covered in cameras. |
I didn't imagine anything! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1WouikrNOB0
I'm also wondering if they'll also have live power outputs as was utilized during the Six Day races last year. |
For those of us in the USA, Universal Sports is going to televise it.
If you have that channel, and I do. Hope they have the live onboard coverage. |

I hope the live feed is not geo blocked in the states. I am very excited to see a new view! This could be great for cycling in general.

Here's a pretty good article on Bobby Lea, who's been on more or less a reign of terror in the past six months. He's skipping the omnium after two consecutive bronze medals in World Cups, and just riding the pursuit at the WCs.

Thoughts on NZ's relegation in TS? I never saw a clear side-view of the exchange in question.

The rule is actually pretty simple now. It's mostly about the pursuit line, rather than the old "cone zone".
|
Yeah, but it's resulting in a lot of relegations. I don't think anybody wants to see WC or Olympic golds changing hands on a relegation.

The up-side for NZ is that you usually only make that mistake once |
Pretty heart breaking. You need to play on that line to be at that level, sometimes you cross it.
Canadian women should have a bronze in the bag for TP. Would love to see Bobby take the IP. Camera work on the bike was pretty cool, too bad they didnt use it much. I think it works well in the longer races, keeps it interesting. |
Women's Team Sprint World Record out of nowhere!
