SHIMANO inner cable fixing bolt unit Y74Y98030

Hello,

For SG-8R36 and SG-S501 hubs.
Is the SHIMANO inner cable fixing bolt unit Y74Y98030 included with the shifter or in the small parts kit? Part 33 in the figure below.
Thanks

Added June 9.

As phrased, the query is too general.
Does the shifter SL-C6000 work with SG-8R36 and SG-S501 hubs?
Does shifter SL-C6000 include inner cable fixing bolt?

Doesn't appear to come with a shifter.

Bolt

You do know that the bolt is available for purchase on its own.

Added questions to make it more focused.

Looking for a definitive answer. Shimano's documents are unclear.

But expensive for a bolt.

According to the parts list it should have come with the shifter as part #7

If it didn't, your options are contact whomever you bought the shifter from and tell them you didn't get that part with it, or buy the bolt separately.
It's expensive because it's a specialized item and not "off the shelf" hardware.

If you can easily return the product, and get a replacement, I suspect we would not be having this conversation!

But we are.
So that’s not a bolt your buying, it’s an OEM solution, to the logistical calamity of non reception of commercial product in its entirety.

To clarify.

1. Bought small parts kit. Bolt wasn't included and I believe it is not a part of the kit.

2. Didn't buy shifter SL-C6000 since I need to confirm it works with hubs SG-8R36, SG-S501.
In addition, whether it includes bolt. It makes sense to include bolt but it also makes sense to package hub with ALL needed parts!

Dan Burkhart your comments are welcome

This ^^.
It's not just a "bolt". It cannot be substituted with normal hardware.

SL-C6000 works with the two hubs.
Can be checked by looking at the Exploded view.
Universal cycles says it includes bolt.

For others' benefit: Although they look identical, the "Inner Cable Fixing Bolt Unit" differs between the Nexus and the Alfine hubs due to the angle of their respective cassette joint arm.

After resting the bolt in the TL-CJ40 tool, if you can't insert the cable through it and then insert the bolt into the pulley… you have the wrong bolt. The Alfine SL-S7000-8 shifter works with the Nexus (same pull), but the bolt won't (easily) fit into the pulley for that reason.

The reference number for the Nexus hub is Y74Y98030, to be used with a CJ-8S20/CJ-8S40 cassette joints. If you bought an Alfine shifter to use with a Nexus instead of a Revoshift, the bolt can be purchased separately.

I think you are referring to Alfine hubs after SG-S501. So, Nexus shifters and Alfine shifters upto SL-S503 work with Alfine SG-S500 & SG-S501 and all Nexus 8 hubs. They also use the same cassette joint & nut.

Two distinct issues: The shifter (cable pull), and the bolt.

For instance, the Alfine SL-S7000-8 shifter works with the Nexus 8… but the bolt doesn't — it can be inserted into the CJ-8S20, but not as easily as the one sold with a Revoshift.

The bolts look identical, but the angle doesn't match. Easy way to tell: If the cable doesn't go through the bolt when using Shimano's tool… it's the wrong bolt.

Learned it after struggling to fit an Alfine bolt into a Nexus cassette joint.
