You appear to be stoned. How high of elevation did you achieve? Did you roll up on any papermills? Doesn't look like there's much weeds, but I'd rather see rose buds anyway....

Zero but I thought about it

Actually, at one time i had a ten speed down here but my sister decided it was in the way and they gave it away. I recall riding along Thousand Oaks Blvd. when a senior van just turned right at an intersection I was going straight. If I had not suddenly decided that a right turn was a good idea there would have been no bike to give away.

It is probably safer to not own one down here. I did try renting a bike a number of years ago but no road bikes were available only beach cruisers. I'm sure that has changed....

78.65 miles, 16.0mph, moderately flat at 4,075 feet of climbing. got ticketed for running a stop sign near the beginning of the ride, before 9am, nobody out and about and certainly nobody else at the intersection. small downtown four way stop. but as they say, don't do the crime if you can't do the time.

wife's family lives very near there in westlake village. never been to the museum though. and never ridden a bike in TO/WLV/Simi etc. might see what it's like some day, i bet the roads up over the range to 1 are a lot like ours up north, but maybe a little bigger climbs?

not a big reagan fan but the presidential library there in simi valley is def worth seeing if you’re into history (as is the nixon prez library approx an hour se). the santa monica mtns separating the coast from the valley are my (and i’m hardly alone in this assessment) fave area in all of socal to ride. bring your climbing gears.

Got COVID from an unaccompanied hacking minor in the seat behind mine on a puddle jumper. Wife got it too so when back probably won’t be hitting the pavement. Mystery picture

I was hoping to do a 100 km gravel ride, but the iffy weather forecast kiboshed that plan. Instead I rode 46 km which included 6 trails/abandoned roads. I used my new trail bike (Tanglefoot Moonshiner) for the task, and got a bit muddy. Lots of fun but no speed records broken. Well, 1 PR on one of the trails but it was downhill. I don't count those.

Your definition of moderate and mine differ more than moderately!

Shame on you! Running a stop sign! We now have "stop signs = YIELD signs" for bikes up here. Not down in CA?

VERY annoyingly, our legislature passed an idaho stop law overwhelmingly (like 80% + in the senate) but the governor vetoed it :(
