How many mistakes did I make this morning?
This morning, I went on a local charity ride. Paid $50 to ride on my usual roads, and got a few cookies and a bottle refill at an aid station. Did the ride on my Di2 bike, which has disc brakes and tubeless tires, wore my uber-expensive name-brand jersey, and used clipless pedals. (And somehow managed to NOT fall over.) Oh, and at one point I hopped on a guy's wheel without asking permission, and I also didn't wave at anyone.
From what I've read on bf, many posters think I did at least one (probably several things) wrong this morning. But somehow, I managed to have a good time. |
Most importantly did you wear a helmet?
|
Did you talk to a female rider?
|
A couple details you didn’t mention: how long were your socks, and what kind of chain lube do you use? Might have really screwed up in one of those areas.
|
Did you check the dumpsters along the route for partially-consumed bottles of vodka? Or bike-mountable golf club holders? ;)
|
Bragging...Trolling...or...???
meh, who cares... |
New here, but, just for clarification, if you rode that route within the last 7 days, did you call it a century ride? And we’re you able to avoid the bike lane to ride the road and sidewalks?
Again as a newer cyclist, I’m still trying to learn….definitely more to this cycling thingy than I thought. |
This post, maybe?
|
Did you inflate the tires to 140 psi?

After reading this thread further, it is obvious that you made all the mistakes.
|
If you rode a DF bike you did everything wrong.
|
Was the charity for some disease or injury you or a family member suffers from?

There's a thread for ride reports. Your mistake was not posting in that thread.

Was the bike made of steel and the wheels made of aluminum? With a Brooks saddle? Stan's sealant? More than 10% made in China? And did you eat any snake before the ride?
And on a road??? Without daytime lights? I am shocked that you survived. |
Did you ride an e-bike and not pedal - even with ‘fake out’ clipless pedals?
Did you hit any squirrels? Bonus points. Were you completely sober? |
did you look for a dumpster to rummage through?
|
The charity ride was only $5. You made a mistake and thought it was $50.

Now I know you’re lying. My wife would never pay good money to outsource work that she’s happy to do herself.

If you did all those things ironically, it was a performance masterpiece.
