I watched a YouTube video where an ex SEAL made a booby trap with a 12 gage blank inside. A string tied to the doorknob sets it off. In order to test its legality, one of the pirates needs to press charges. Food for thought. Not in this case though, obv

No. The package was delivered to my office and unopened. The mount for the light was secured to the manufacturer's package with a zip tie that was very loose. I suspect the light unit fell out before Amazon boxed it for shipping. Supposed to get a new one by tomorrow.

You probably don't listen to '70s music, either.

After my "Old Rockin' Chair's Got Me" ride on the Canyon a couple weeks back, I decided to take action. Talked to my LBS, who said he could knock the cups out of the frame, grease them up again, with carbon paste, and press them back in again, and it would kinda work. So I asked about thread-together BBs, and it turned out he had one. So, I had him put that in today. Of course, then I got home too late for a ride. Tomorrow.

I've only known a few Tiffani's, but none of them were crazy.

Spelled like that, definitely crazy. Maybe they just hid it well :)

When I was working I found out I was older than my manager's father. Like several years older.

I don't have a cardiologist but in 2017 my doc referred me to one and my insurance denied it.

LesterOfPuppets 06-01-22 10:35 PM

What are the chances? Hope everyone makes it out OK.

News from Germany: daughter is positive. I am not surprised. We hope she can still come home on 6/10 as planned.

Better now than in a week, then? I guess?

I think the last letter will get the best of many today. Happened to a friend this morning.

Thanks.
My lovely wife is very creative. That pond began its life as a pool, but we didn't use it. It has a wrap around natural filtration system, on two sides, made up of gravel and plant roots, with water pumped through the gravel. A closed system with a skimmer and 'Skippy Filter' at the pump entrance.
It's a delightful place to live. And she is a delightful person to live with.

I hate to seem like a negative Nelly, but whatís the mosquito situation?

Because the water is circulating, I am optimistic that it's a non-issue.

Why are we here?

Where did we come from?

datlas 06-02-22 09:00 AM

I should probably take this to the 50+, but I have become more and more aware of my presbyopia (poor near vision) over the past few weeks. At 57, I know I am overdue for needing "cheaters" reading glasses but I was hoping to dodge that bullet for awhile longer.

:50:

I wouldn't. The consequences can be bad if you misread something at work.

I thought I needed readers in my 50s. They put me straight onto progressive tri-focals.
