Headset is tight again. I guess I'm have to take it as cry for help. Get out the tools and see what's what.

Doesn't that fall under the infield fly rule? Or is that old news?

Hells no. Plenty of water taps around. Even took a nice shower. The girl running the park is beautiful. I wish I were 25 again. This is the second Vermont state park Ive been to that has a cottage at the entrance where the manager lives.

Some blue pills and an open wallet are all you need to appear to be 25 again.

No infield fly rule when there's only a runner on first before the atbat

Only one way to find out...

If you're robbing the cradle, is she robbing the grave?

Mojo31 06-06-22 05:32 PM

Define “cradle.”

LesterOfPuppets 06-06-22 05:38 PM

That brings us to the 70s rock song of the day (almost) (it might've been recorded in 1979)

It's my favorite bike lately. I have it down to 23.5 lbs. Hoping for sub-23 with a reasonable seatpost upgrade.

Depends on how you feel about pink, I suppose.

I think the livery looked better on skinnier, more metallic tubes

A young woman used to ride with us on this Trek. She also wore pink shoes, helmet, and jerseys. Miss her.

Creep factor = half your age + 7 years, so in my case <39 y.o.

Different calculation might come into play depending on how much money you have.

I used to get together with the guys, quarterly. Out at the cabin, anything goes. I walk up the hill and into camp and there is a small group skipping stones, trying to hit the plastic flamingo on the island. I set down my cooler, pick up a stone and wing it. One skip and dead center. Shrug my shoulders, pick up my cooler and walk on in the rest of the way. There were some dropped jaws behind me.

What are Hershey's Kisses called in Spain? As I was leaving after my root canal today, the dentist thanked me for the payment, and I I'm turn thanked her for the besos. Que? There are Hershey's Kisses in the candy dish.

Back in Spring of 2021, I started buying C&V bikes. My first purchase was a 1989 Schwinn Circuit, with its Columbus tubing, chrome fork and chain and seat stays, and Sante groupset. I thought at the time I overpayed a bit, $450, but it turned out that the bike had ALL the original bits in good condition, including the barely-used original Rolls saddle - and they go for $70 and up in Ebay! So, in the end, I didn't mind over paying just a little, even if the frame is kinda small and required a new seatpost and 130mm stem to fit me.

Maybe 6 months later, another 1989 Circuit pops up on Ebay, this time in my size. But they want $800, and $200 for shipping. And that bike has been languishing there for close to a year now. They have the option of making an offer, but I doubt they'd take what I'd offer.

Last week, someone listed ANOTHER Circuit on Ebay, also my size. This one's listed for $1200.

This morning, someone else listed YET ANOTHER Circuit, again in 23". This one's listed for $1800!

In watch collecting, we used to see this sometimes. You won't see any listings of a particular watch for years, and then one gets listed and suddenly there's a bunch of them listed. We call it "Monkey See, Monkey Do".

Oooh, look what just popped up down in Tempe. NOS Circuit for $750. +150 shipped.
