Obviously, but in the first example posted it doesn't look like there's anything connected to the beams that would support weight. Also, the span is very short.

Probably to stabilize and spread loads.

If that is a king post, it’s purpose is to prevent sagging of the horizontal tie beam.

The Battaglin was steady as a rock in the winds last week, even cross winds. It didn't wander more than an inch or two in a strong crosswind. With the Bianchi, I sometimes have to weight the leeward pedal, and in crosswinds like last week, I frequently feel the bike being blown out from under me. Like I said last week, the Battaglin just feels planted.

The skinny tension verticals are “fracture critical.” They should be inspected yearly because if any one of them develops a crack, the bridge would be closed immediately.

OMG, the other day I spotted a 3800 SC in a Chevy Venture, now this! Dual 3400 Venture!!!

That second motor would really ruin bike hauling for me though.

That sticker is irrelevant. The only way a Goggomobill T400 would do 100mph is if it were pushed of a cliff. The 400 in the name refers to the engine capacity. In cc.

I was hoping to watch the Tour of Flanders but GCN+ is the only premium channel I pay for, and they are blocked in USA because Flobikes.

I am running out of excuses to not do my taxes.
