Front pull SLJ FD....
I used to see these at eBay regularly as it is not as popular as the back pull version.
Make sure your frame has the proper cable casing stop on the down tube, near the BB, as this will not work with frames that have the FD cable, running under the BB.

These front mechs have a design flaw. The cable-attachment section of the arm is too small. With time, and repeated use the eye will crack.

I have such a one.

The FD pictured is a 1st generation Super LJ AV236 introduced in 1973. Simplex produced a multitude of different front derailleurs, especially from the early 70's until the end of the trail.

As Chombi1 mentioned, to use the front pull style FD you need either a braze on cable housing stop on the down tube or a clamp on cable guide like these.

Rear lever style from the early 80's. Notice the CPSC lip at the front of the cage.

One suggestion, the later all or mostly all steel Simplex lower priced FDs while not as attractive, are more robust.
