Fake Bianchi, real Olympia???
Hello! I bought this bike from another town and when it comes to me i almost sure that it's not Bianchi.
On another thread someone said that it's soviet Start Shosse or something like that but it's not, because i found on top and down tubes stampings F0 and G2. I am not sure is this original paint and don't know what parts is original. Noname rims, seatpost, stem, hubs. Headset is Olympia. Holes for cable on another real model of Olympia same like on my. So what is this? https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...498a337e9a.jpg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...9345f00dfe.jpg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...b802b4ad88.jpg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...5f0bead39f.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...4777606470.jpg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...fcf5073e5d.jpg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...1c036047a9.jpg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...04a48d2017.jpg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...635eefadd9.jpg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...92f6991f5c.jpg Olympia |
-----
the domed ends of the taper tubes when combined with the seat stay treatment suggest a production midliner sort of model doubt saddle pillar size will be 27.0 or 27.2; would expect 26.2 or 26.4 evidently late eno' to have received recessed brake mount, if not a post-manufacture alteration bottom bracket assembly puzzling: adjustable side appears cartridge but fixed side exhibits a lockring with multiple notches :foo: spider of chainset appears it may have been altered see nothing to suggest Bianchi-ness possible headset and brake calipers original; balance of fittings a guess... branding note: Borghi does a certain amount of contract work possible cycle may have been produced by them but otherwise marked for example they produce house brand machines for a retailer located near their facility ----- |

The red one doesn't look "Bianchiesque" to me. |

What's that silver sticker on the top of the seat tube?

This red one is a bit rough and probably not a Bianchi but appears to be of some quality. Strip it down, clean it up and weigh it. Put it back together, ride and decide if it deserves paint or whatever. ;) |

Decals are off, in my eyes also not an Olympia, those should be a bit more decorated unless they had some super simple model. Wildman88 Bike is 80's, Oly headset is 50's/60s, decals - if such ever existed at all are 90's. I'll try to find you the simplest Borghi Olympia, but don't get high hopes. I don't think it would be a Start or Sport Shosse, or anything from HVZ as it is a lot more refined than those, and as you were already told, it worth the 90USD worth of Hrivnas. |

These TT cable guides were used on many bikes and frames, they may have been added, they came on many quality builds.
