TISSOT UCI Track Cycling World Cup | Official website for the 2017 TISSOT UCI Track Cycling World Cup Manchester, 10-12 November. |
TV schedule for world cup races in the USA listed on this site
http://www.uci.ch/mm/Document/News/N...V3_Neutral.pdf I checked my cable TV schedule and times quoted on this site are Eastern Time. |
Mathilde Gros (FRA) simply came out of nowhere and is killing it in sprint events.

She's a multiple time Jr world champ, but has been only racing bikes for 2 or 3 years. Was previously a basketball player.
|
Her first Jr. World Championship was just over 2 months ago. She won Jr. Euro Championship Sprint and 500M in 2016.
Even then, that doesn't guarantee success at the Sr. level. Most Jr. World Champs still have a hard time competing against seniors. Gros just won 3rd in Sprints after qualifying 3rd with a 10.739 in her first ever World Cup. She just won a ticket to World Championships and valuable Olympic points. Not bad. |
We’ll be there for the Friday evening session. It’s going to be one of the last major events there before the track is relaid.
|
Friday tickets now 2 for 1. (Ticketmaster Code AD241) Lots of spaces especially on Friday AM session.
Great that we get a new track to play on. Downside is 12 weeks of closure come March 18. |

Sadly it looks like she separated her shoulder in a crash this past weekend and so she's on the shelf for a bit after surgery.
Any video of the crash? I'm hoping that it wasn't her inexperience that led to the wreck. |

He's using that super deep position: https://i.imgur.com/m8HeLal.jpg From this camera angle, that position looks suspiciously like the forbidden "superman" position. Any one got any pics from the side? |
Other pictures I've seen he doesn't look as far forward, but I've yet to see any from the side
|
As he's already huge, how is he not way outside the UCI box here?
