Despite once being a bartender, shopping for vermouth at my fancy local liquor store made me realize that I don't know a damn thing about Vermouth. I bought something that was priced a couple notches up from the cheapest and had a classy-ish looking bottle. :foo:

Any recommendations for future BFTB vermouth would be appreciated.

The rain came after all. It continues even now. It has cooled things down nicely. In other news, I've come up with a workaround for the home button. If I'm in a browser, I open a new tab and go back from there. I will continue fiddling with it, as I'm really not interested in getting a new phone

105 - I want as many speeds as the big boys.

Picking raspberries and eating them right off of the bush, just makes one hungrier. It's work, sometimes, but someone's gotta do it.

If you find something better, let me know. My brother was in the business for a while and recommended it. I liked it much more than M&R or Noilly.

Keep us posted.

Rain arrived here mid-walk (see Strava), but it was not warm enough to do any cooling.

That would be a lot of work without a tractor.

42" mower deck. Takes about an hour per acre.

I got what the extra dry they had at my LLS. Haven't tried it yet. Did I get a good deal?

The tractor part of the church lawn takes 2.5 hours. I have no idea what the acreage is. It's broken into 9 different sections.

I like it - in combination of the Roku gin, it's a very smooth, good martini.

That’s what I cook with.

Or bullish, in market terms.

Storing excess cars. Those have been there for a good while now. A couple miles worth.

I like my martini's very dry, made at a bar where someone once spilled vermouth. :D

Harrumph!

Once at an upscale bar we were served martinis with no vermouth at all. It was obvious and we sent them back. The bartender wasn’t even really apologetic. She said that’s how their clientele liked them. I blame it on pop culture, ignorance, and bad vermouth. My guideline for two very dry drinks was about a capful of vermouth to five oz. of gin.

Did you pay more than 4.95?

Bah Humbug 04-26-20 05:50 AM

So on the morning when we're going to go ride outside, what happens? That's right, it's clear and cool and the temp drops to 50*. I'll have to use full gloves and handwarmers. In Texas, in late April.
