In other fatbike news, just ordered some hubs to build up a wheelset for running some 27.5 x 2.3" slicks. Already got the rims...

Midnight wrench session.

I wonder what level lawyers (present company excluded) and used car salesmen will get.

I wish, just getting started here. Lots of 100s in my future, at least 4 small brush fires today.

Why a fatbike and not a mtb? I never tried one but I'm fat-curious.

Speaking of which, generic V isn't covered so the nurse's plan B is naproxen + esomeprazole. Is that a sensible solution, given my daily prednisone?

Reasonable.

fun fact: No school I attended ever had air conditioning until high school and then it was just one building out of many. Sometimes the teachers would turn off the lights as if it would help.

We also had dress code until my senior year. No jeans, no facial hair, no hair touching your ears, and girls had to wear dresses.

I want to say that they were originally from Oklahoma. The hubby was a big-time Sooner fan. Why they decided on NYC and LA, consecutively, is beyond me.

I'm not a real mountain biker. Fat bike can do snow and single track. One bike to rule them all, unless you are a real mountain biker. It's not fast, but it's fun.

I'm sure it's a blast in the snow. I used to ride an old Trek hardtail in the snow and I loved it. Had to be the right kind of snow, though. If it got too slushy forget it.

The worst buildings were the portable bungalows which contained 2 classrooms. Those things had poor insulation and they were the suck on a hot day.

No internets until college, though. :o

Did they have to kneel and make sure their skirt touched the floor?

No A/C for DougRNS, I just HTFU.

Full disclosure:
In PA, it was only bad the first week or two at the beginning and end of the year.

This was before your fellow Tennessean Al Gore invented the internet, global warming and inconvenient truths.

I just have 2.8" plus tires on mine, and it's super fun in the snow!

Down here in the desert it's fun to ride full rigid that doesn't beat you up, and they float across sandy washes with aplomb.

No AC for me til I got to middle school in AZ.

I have no idea how I survived school sans-AC in NC. May had to have hurt just a little.

Stan's Sentry for rims.

Dunno about tires yet really.

I'll probably lace some 26er fat rims to those hubs if/when we get back close to some snow.

I don't remember that but one of my teachers was not happy that girls would be allowed to wear pants and he fought against it. He was pretty young, too.
