Three Wheeled Schwinn - Legit Cruiser?

Here's my main squeeze these days -- at 68 yoa I'm more comfortable with the simple stuff. I'm done with two-wheels because of balance issues. This is a Schwinn Meridian single-speed Trike, and I love bombing around local parks, businesses, parking lots. I average about 9 mph and get alotta stares. One thing I notice is that people are a lot more polite than when I'm on two wheels. Another thing I notice is that a lot of people tell me that they'd like to get one of these bad boys too -- Three wheeled Cruiser? Let me know ---

Technically not a cruiser but a Trike but if you think it is a Cruiser then it is. Roger

Everybody’s definition of cruiser is different.
To me , heck yeah ! It’s a Cruiser .
I can see myself on a trike one day . That’s what I started out on about 65 years ago . LOL !
Things go in circles
Cruise On !

They make 3 wheeled cruiser bikes nowadays, so it's a fine bike to ride anytime, anywhere you can. Enjoy! And I especially love the extra cargo area in the rear.

Indeed, she's a cruiser! I have balance issues and rode trikes 5 years; I rode over 4 thousand miles in 2018 on a Schwinn Meridian. My average speed was 9 MPH, but I removed the chain wheel and replaced it with a 60t. Increased to 71 gear inches; still a mid gear ratio but my average speed went up to 15 MPH. Back then I was commuting 32 miles a day, so it reduced my commute time an hour.

In 2019 I assembled a Kent Monterey Trike with a seven speed free wheel. The single speed had a 22 tooth freewheel but this one: 28, 24, 22, 20, 18, 16, 14. With the 60t crankset I'd max at 111 gear inches for 17 MPH (faster downhill and wind on my back). Last month I started riding an Electra Townie 7D (not an electric model). Put balance wheels on, and with the 44t OEM crankset, I've achieved speeds like riding the Monterey. I just raised the balance wheels to the second level and my balance has improved over the past month.

Yes, the cargo area in the back is a definite winner.
