This might be the same moment in time. The caption reads: "John Lennon & Yoko Ono - Parade, June 25th 1972 (via bohemea) From an article titled “The Americanization of John and Yoko” about John & Yoko’s fight to stay in New York." So that might help date it.

Dunno, but having worked a hot dog cart in Philly in '82 the prices caught my eye. $0.35 for a dog and $0.25 for a can of soda was the going rate in Philly at that time. The prices in NYC will kill you. :D

Bottecchia.

That it is a Bottecchia?

(The more famous picture is John and Yoko kissing.)

On the seat tube:

I’ll solve the puzzle?

I think you are all wrong. If you zoom in a bit more, one can see it is a Trek. It is a known fact John was a Trek fanatic! :D

No slight on her....I think they were deeply in love. So once people opine on any of this it will be time to shut this thread down.

Here is a picture of John Lennon from those earlier days, as well as John and Yoko on a mystery bike. Maybe the Genius of the Universe of Things That Have No Significance will unleash his mastery of cryptic trivia and provide the answer of the provenance of this white bike.

I noticed only the drops on the bars are wrapped.

The white bike is obviously a ghost bike they are going to put on some street corner.

My dad ran a service station and I think our price was 25 cents for a can of soda back then. I remember candy bars were 25 cents around that time as well. We even had a cigarette machine in the office and they were 75 cents a pack.

Well, obviously looking at the name on the head tube, it's a Prouo. Must be some little-known Italian bike.

No idea what John is riding but whatever bike Yoko was riding probably went out of business after the company's board of directors suddenly all had creative differences with each other and refused to work together anymore.
