Cloud 9 bike seats?
Howdy,
I figured I'm in this group (age wise) someone will steer me in the right direction? I love the Cloud 9 bike seats, I found a Cruiser saddle that I can go for 3 hrs no problems.:winter: I ride a hybrid in an upright position. What other Cloud 9 models would you recommend? I'm about 5' 8" around 185 lbs. Some say the older cloud 9's are better than the newer ones? Thanks. |
For reference, here is the Cloud 9 Cruiser Select saddle (OP may not have link posting privileges).

Here's the Selle Italia version of a comfort saddle: https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...ca982ca90f.jpg |
Here's what I like, complete with photos:

Thanks, I'll check it out.

I am in the camp that believes a comfortable saddle needs to start with sit bone width - whether one sits mostly upright or rides in a more aero position. When one gets that determined then the amount of padding, shape for thighs to avoid chafing when pedaling, cutouts/split rail and other factors may confuse the saddle decision.
using the info from Specialized to determine their best saddle for my bottom, based on sit bone width = indicated their narrowest. I did not buy, but that model did come closest in design appearance to my most preferred saddles. |
