23 miles today. Still 40F, still 20 mph wind, but sunny and no sleety stuff. Pretty nice. 👍 Otto |

Just hop off the bike a couple feet beforehand! Not really a recommended bike cleaning method.

Don't know about the distance but it was 1 hour on the indoor Trainer (not smart). Does that count?:D

Weather was sketchy this morning when it was supposed to be sunny in the mid 60's, was heavily overcast, some light rain and in the 50's, so I decided to ride inside, but picked a rouvy route that kicks my butt each time, but I still try and ride it here and there. It's just 12 miles, but has 4.7k ft of grueling incline, but today, I did 8 miles and 3.2k ft of it before my legs gave out. Sucks living in the flat lands. Right about the same time, the skies cleared, the sun came out, the temp went up and I went for a second ride, did 15 tough wind driven miles just killing my legs that much more.

didn't break a leg though. Weather was not allowing it today. Instead, I climbed some ladders, did some CAT6 stringing. Later on after all that fun, worked with the chop saw & TIG to get ahead & clear out some work orders. It heated up the work area & provided some indoor tanning. |
The road bike had the day off and took out the mtb for 15 miles and 2000’ climbing.

29 miles on a gorgeous fall day in Chattanooga last Tuesday!

32 miles today. Mid 40s, sunny and even windier. Massive headwinds on the way out. Fairly brutal on my SS MTB, but a beautiful view along the river trail with some of the leaves down and the sun peering low thru the trees.

30 leaf-covered gravel miles in 40°F. Felt like 60.
|
38 miles (3,700’) on a beautiful fall day, about 1/3 gravel/light single track.

I imagine many of you read about the weather, flooding and landslides in Western Washington over the last two days. But then today it cleared. I combined two shots for the panorama and the arrow shows where it was taken - Sunset Park. One of my Go-To rides. 15 or so miles and 700 feet.

Golden Gardens - Once more with feeling - feeling in the toes. It was about 46F and my toes do not like that at all. 16.1 and about 800 feet and accompanied by my electric socks from Lenz.

I've been steadily building up the kilometres. I beat last year's record (8703.5 km, 121k metres climbing) by well over 1000 km, now up to 9785 km of mostly gravel, 126k metres climbing. I've been riding over 250 km per week this month so far, so I should be good to hit 10,000 km this week if all goes well; not bad for a 63 y.o. diabetic. I added 46 km to the total today near Sutton, QC. Typical November weather, a balmy 5C, and fairly sunny. The gravel roads were muddy in the shady areas, so I got quite splattered and eventually gave up and switched to asphalt for the last 20 km or so. Otherwise not too bad. I ride year round and this week I will go pick up my winter beater which was being overhauled at my son's shop. An old Rocky Mountain hard tail mountain bike. Lots of mods. Replaced suspension fork with a solid fork, added fenders, dynamo, front and rear dynamo lights, front disc brake, new chain, shorter stem as the reach was always a bit on the long side. Today's ride was on my Bombtrack Hook 2 gravel bike.

The last 2 days, 44 miles and 3000’ climbing. Had cold toes and fingers so bagged it.
