I usually spend the rest of the day in our lower level family room with all of the shades closed and the room as dark as possible. I’ve had 9 so far and the doc hit a nerve on #2 which took things to a whole new level. I don’t want to experience that again.

I'll bet he looks pretty good to Suns fans. To me, he has been quite a surprise in these playoffs, and he's still very young.

My daughter's softball team is off this weekend before the final summer push of a showcase event and the National Champ tournament (which we didn't expect to get into). My daughter was on an insane hot streak in Las Vegas last weekend, going 9-for-13 with 4 home runs, helping drive her team to a 4-1 record over their 5 games . She's also continuing to add to the list of colleges that are interested in recruiting her.

No softball and Monday off work, means 3 days of bike riding and honey-dos. I expect there will also be some grilling and beer-drinking going on, too.

Looking forward to three days of riding this weekend. I haven't been able to get in much more than 2 per week for a few weeks. Just too much going on all the time.

Riding and pool time while BBQ'ing might just be the weekend ticket.

Seems like Memorial Day was just a minute ago yet here we are with the summer’s next-to-last holiday.

Mrs. GeneJockey was of for a few days of R&R with her gal pals, and made it clear before she went that she didn't want me riding IRL while she was gone, so I Zwifted instead. I learned an important lesson - one month is forever in Computer Years. I hadn't had the laptop that runs Zwift open since May, and of course hadn't opened Zwift, either. So, as a result, the 45 minutes I set aside before a Zwift race I wanted to do, which was supposed to allow 15 minutes for Zwift updating and 30 for a nice warmup turned into just about 12 minutes of warmup that was interrupted by the realization that my bladder would not make it through the entire race comfortably, so I had to *clack,clack,clack* through the house, pee, and *clack,clack,clack* back, just in time for 2:30 of warmup before the start.

It reminded me of the first few after-work rides after DST kicks in - it takes FOREVER to make sure I have everything I need packed to go in the car. So far, I haven't forgotten shoes, fortunately.

Last night I just rode around the new Makuri Island world, doing the same 8 mile loop 3 times and somehow managed to get all 3 times within 6 seconds of each other.

No ride today, but I think I'll take tomorrow off, make it a FOUR day weekend, and spend time on the actual road.

Another successful mowing. I rebounded from last week's three-drink fiasco. Back on my game today--one drink only, 31 gulps at the garden hose.

I saw a snake again. Maybe the same one as a couple weeks ago? But this time it was in a much smaller area of ivy, surrounded by lawn. I was worried I would do a LesterOfPuppets and run over it with the mower.
