Do you know BF member Flatballer? He lives in Eastern Pa. and he put some pics from his neighborhood up in the 33. He says he doesn't have gas or power yet, but he does have a generator.

I can say almost the exact same thing about bicycling, except more years.

Yeah, at least I can say I always rode with people who were faster than I was, and still do.

From a Kickr vs Kickr Core comparison:$300 more for the Kickr buys you —

The Kickr is more stable

Doesn’t need assembly out of the box

Folds up for better storage

Easier to transport because it has a handle

Comes with a cassette included

Comes with Cadence sensor included

Heavier Flywheel

More Max Wattage

More Max Grade

Edit: I absolutely prefer a wheel off trainer like either choice. I've got the original Tacx Neo and love it, after having a wheel on Tacx.

thanks for the breakdown. Appreciate it.

I don't know him, but I am not surprised to hear this. Some areas have been hit very hard by the storm. We are kinda lucky but the water pump station near us flooded out and that's why the boil water advisory is on. We lost power for 4 days last summer due to storms and luckily have a generator which we needed then.

I should have been getting out for dawn patrol more this summer.

Reminds me of a Corona (the beer) ad.

When I tried that, the tire howled horribly and send chunks rearwards.

Of course. One should see the glass of boiled water as being half full.

The Vine is free of water at 19th and 20th. Surface is not as muddy as I thought it would be.

I know a woman whose parent live in Hatboro, where one of the tornado's hit. They lost their shed and most of the trees in the area.

Make sure it's Pyrex or something similar.

Some guy did a backflip into the flooded Vine yesterday. Ewwww. Can you imagine the bacteria that must be in there?

The glass is neither half full, nor half empty. The glass is twice as big as it needs to be.

Or, there's half as much water as there should be.

Whether the glass is half empty or half full depends on the most recent prior state of the glass.

Not sure how this works to transfer power to the wheels if no chain/belt.

Same way a diesel locomotive does it, only you're the diesel motor, driving a generator that powers the motors that drive the wheels. The article starts out by pointing out it's less efficient than chain drive, so I'm not really sure how I see it replacing that.

LAJ 09-03-21 12:56 PM

Wireless signal to the hub motor from the crank motor generator.
