It looks like we're up and running, Velo Vol.

Easy solution: wear your kit to the beach.

Heh. In 2000 I spent the summer touring out west then came back home and went to the beach. A group of young women chuckled at me when the saw my tan lines while I was wearing just a pair of swim trunks. My arms were especially funny. Almost like a black and white cookie.

Got soaked on today’s ride. It was still a fine outing.

I got soaked on yesterday's ride and never left my garage - I ended up Zwifting, because time keeps on slipping, slipping, slipping...into the future.

I think the site is down for some people/browsers. 12 people viewing?

I did get some host error messages earlier in the day.

We?

Are you part of the Colorado symphony?

Velo Vol 07-03-21 12:23 PM

Auto accident activity this afternoon. A guy ignored the stop sign and pulled out in front of me. He did stop (not hit and run), and his car has insurance, supposedly. But he's from Honduras, apparently, and he doesn't have a license.

SMH.

You and bike okay?

Oh! I realize you mean car-to-car.

Pretty low speed. Banged up the front corner panels.

Adds character. Others will be less likely to fool with you now.

Short ride. 50-ish I think. I am hoping to do 80+ on Monday.

The guy looked in his 20s. There were three other guys in the car and apparently none of them have a license. He was going to have to wait for someone with a license to come drive his car away.

SMH.

I'm worried about your safety. The world hates @Velo Vol

Correct.

It would be nice if people on the roads knew how to properly drive.

Hey, you know what the difference is between 'Hondas' and 'Honduras'?

You are.

I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but there's something wrong with this website.

genejockey 07-03-21 02:09 PM

(When I played football, the coach like to put up little inspirational things, like "Winning isn't everything. It's the only thing". One of them, "The difference between Champ and Chump is YOU!" always made me think, "The difference between Champ and Chimp is I!!")

You mean the way people argue bad points about irrelevant crap for page after page, growing more and more obscure and silly? Or the fact that half the time when you click a link it times out?

As long as they know not to split infinitives.
