I just got Moderna #2 yesterday. Sore arm again, and this time had fever for a few hours. Pretty much right as rain today, save for a bit of residual soreness in the upper arm.

Lots of races have a neutral start section. Gets them going and warmed up, probably helps with the jitters. Someone who actually races could probably enlighten you better than I.

Funny story, I was doing the Radio Tower climb this past winter and was pushing so hard, when suddenly I thought I broke the trainer when everything collapsed, but it was really me pulling my rear wheel out from the horizontal dropout. I have zero desire to do that stupid climb again. Not gonna do it. Wouldn't be prudent.

I'm not looking forward to today's group ride. Besides being the oldest and fattest, we are supposed to be around 100° "real feel" by the end of our ride when I will be even older.

Stay safe. So, you’re in southern Illinois? Belleville, St. Louis? If so, I kneel down to your humidity.

NYTimes Maybe in a couple weeks I'll go see a baseball game. I'll have to bring the binoculars and sit in the worst seats so there's no one within a safe radius though, it being a mostly indoor stadium. OR I guess I could buy a block of 9 good seats to keep a distance, if I hit the lottery :) |
