I don't know if you got you wish but you spread it here.

Yesterday, 20 mile loop and about 800 feet of gain, with about the last third through showers. Odd - oh crap, rain, Oh, look dry pavement, oh, 4 blocks later very wet pavement. On and off. Fire hose, , no rain.....

Sat, 16 miles and about 600 feet. Dry but windy.

25.7 and happy the Great Sandway was closed to cars.

Hopefully this weekend I can get this number back over 400 and keep it there.

Rode 37.5 miles today from Kenmore down into Seattle and the Ballard neighborhood along the Burke-Gilman Trail. Very beautiful day, sunny and 74F.

It was an excellent day weather and route wise. I was over-dressed. Completed the full loop unhampered by rain. Although, now they are forecasting highs not even hitting 50F in the next few days.I hate going backwards in terms of weather and temps!

24 miles and about 1,200 feet.

Slowed down a bit at the end, some wandering around and traffic.

40 miles 😁

Chocolate and cheese run to nearest bikeable Trader Joe's.

About 23 miles on a somewhat hilly route and a windy day. Working on strength, so about 90% in 42/14 gear, with a few bits in 42/16 gear. Out of the saddle often and about one third of the ride. Such beautiful weather… sunny and upper 50s F.

11.5 km. Went to the gym, then treated myself to McDonalds afterwards.

ofajen 04-10-22 02:42 PM

17 mile out and back. Out against a 22 mph headwind, but it was 85 degrees F this afternoon. Two days ago we had a freeze and very light snow in the early morning!

looks like a fun route. didn't see anything too insane but that constant climbing/descending add up pretty quick on the el "gainometer" in that area.

Impressive climbing total and 6x golden ratio, nice work!

joesch 04-11-22 06:47 AM

I dont do much climbing in the DFW area but recently with the weeks of 20+ mph winds, my legs have been extra sore every day.
Also the wind effects are especially challenging when hitting from sides and also forces me to stay low when off the saddle which is not my normal stomping style. Air quality and airborne debris also take an effect on lungs and eyes. Would much rather be climbing some real hills :) My 200 mile week goals have taken a hit :(

Keeping the grades reasonable for this 210 lbs rider is essential if I want to do more miles without tendonitis developing in my knees.
There are several grades in the area that reach 15-20+% ramps that are better suited for shorter rides at least for me.

38 Miles O.D. Rain & Wind rest of the week.

A350driver 04-13-22 09:57 AM

100km, around Lake Istapoga, mostly flat, chasing an electric tandem!

Cool but after about a week of showers, hail and wind, it was gorgeous today. About 15.5 and 700 gain. I admit that I used my Pixel's Magic Eraser to remove a bump on the log (person) and two benches with people!
