It's hot, dry, and windy here. Tomorrow I think I'll ride my crabon mountain bike instead of the road bike. I hope it doesn't asplode. I also hope my riding areas are not closed.

In snowboarding news, my wife has finally made the move to Burton Step On bindings. She made me demo them for a few years and was skeptical. Quite a bit different than the old step in bindings, but still nice. And it sucks to be the person everyone is waiting for.

Addiction reminder that it's probably time to get my trees trimmed.

I've come to terms with it.

We had most of our trees removed, leaving us with a Magnolia, a pair of Live Oaks, a California Buckeye, and an Orange. Then there was a historically huge acorn drop, and I spent hours this spring and summer pulling up Oak seedlings. From mighty acorns, little Oaks grow.

We ski with another family mostly. Two adult skiers, me, and three boy skiers. They get off the lift and are ready to go. I step in and I'm ready. Everyone has to wait for the ratchet binding.

I was taking a cheap shot at my cycling speed.

Don't worry, you could easily drop me. Going downhill.
