Good thing I was on vacation somewhere outside the state then. Wouldn't want to get Covided.

You do realize that the COVID death rate per 100,000 in Tennessee is almost double that of Texas, don't you?

States ranked by COVID-19 death rates (beckershospitalreview.com)

Texas' positivity rate is even better than Tennessee's:

Seems like it would be better to avoid your little neck of the woods.

Are "healthy snacks" STILL healthy snacks if you eat a whole lot of them at the same time? Asking for a friend....

Since asymptomatic infection with Omicron is apparently fairly high* among the vaxed and boosted, short of repeated testing, can you really be sure?

*How high? WE DON'T KNOW! because outside of being sick, or hypochondriacal, or having to prove you're not infectious, people don't test themselves.

I have one too. It resides on the Trek 930. I live in pancakeland.

I'm sure my respiratory system is functioning normally.

True, but it's an even bigger deal with kids where one year matters. Even half a year. Recall this?

How old are you? I am six....and a HALF!!

I'm proud that I made it to my age so I always round up after 6 months have passed. My birthday is 6/2 (if you want to write that down so you don't forget it) and after New Years, I add a year. I do the same for my wife and it pisses her off.

do you guys and gals replace chains at .5 or .75?

Cleaning the bikes tonight, checked chain wear and the cervelo is at .5. I swear it doesn’t seem like I got many miles out of it.

Interestingly, I read a report back in the early days of COVID where people were going to the ER for things not obviously related to COVID but it turning out they had it, because they were tested when the medical personnel noticed they were breathing rapidly, and then when their O2 saturation was checked it was way low. "Happy Hypoxia", I think they called it - where you're hypoxic without noticing it.

Oh dear. I-75 alert! (near the Brown Squirrel)

My understanding is that while 0.75 is fine for 8 or 9 speed and lower, 10 and up you should replace at 0.5. This is probably why the Park chain checker got longer.

bampilot06 02-07-22 05:51 PM

Went back and checked, looks like it only lasted 2,000 miles.

thanks, Will pick up a new chain soon.

Also noticed the screw that holds one of my bottle cages on has gone all the way through the cage, so the bottom screw isn’t holding the cage on anymore.

Mojo31 02-07-22 06:32 PM

The Saturday we arrived in St. Thomas, we went out to dinner, after which we ordered and dug into a chocolate cake to celebrate the birthday girl’s special day. When we got back to the boat, we discovered the on-board chef had whipped up a cheesecake since that is the birthday girl’s favorite, and we just had to celebrate her day. So, that was double dessert that night. We were no worse for the wear having had both within about an hour.

I was symptomatic for 4 days before I got tested and found out. My wife was asymptomatic throughout. She was gonna get tested and then backed out.
