I've had trouble with these before due to the quality of the stitching and finishing. Still, I should of noticed sooner or later.

ONe time I gently asked Mrs. GeneJockey - who was about to got out with her jacket on inside out - when having the seams and tag on the outside had become the fashion.

Probably started as soon as the advent of recording tape, it being a little hard to do if you're cutting the master while the orchestra plays.

Mutli-track tape opened up a ton of options. Computer recording is essentially infinity-track tape with a super-easy slice-and-splice option.

But it collapses the soundstage, man!

Stumbled onto another picture of Vance on the road before he became a trackie. I just like the picture.

Did his guads become massive, once he moved to the track?

Ineffectively, apparently.

They should open it for people who weren't part of the supposed mess. I got hot takes to post!

For about the first thirty minutes of my trainer ride today, I wondered why my drivetrain was so noisy and the shifting was so poor. I was in the middle of a TT effort at the time, and had to concentrate to block it out. Once my TT lap was done, I thought about it for a second and realized I'd never torqued the rear thru axel. Oops. :o

Be careful! Ignoring an odd feeling in my left pedal because I was in the middle of a race ended up with the pedal breaking off the spindle while I was sprinting, and I clouted my left ankle something fierce! Luckily didn't drive the family jewels back inside my abdomen - I thank sloping top tubes for that.

About to break in a CRP-2! :bday:

Yes, he got bigger all over and I heard he was even coaching at the velodrome but has moved out of the area recently.

I don’t want my recording device to know measure and beat. So much stuff done now is a slave of the machine.

I still run a cute little 1/2” 8tk Otari and mix to a 1/4” machine. I recorded on big 3M machines for a while but they were really meant for studios with a machine room.

The benefit of few tracks is you have to plan stuff, record with the mix in mind, and actually make decisions as you work.

That happened to me 3 times and I crashed twice but I don't have any pics. I do have this one.
