There's not much difference, TBH.

This is me, only with joints instead of coughs.

Perfect my morning for a ride in the desert. I didn't commence riding til 7:40, and that was still early enough not to die :)

I'm no Campy expert, but isn't that group a little old to be on that frame? Looks weird.

Definitely high, IMO. That's a fairly normal price for an older one that's in cherry condition with all original parts, though.

Yeah, weird parts mix. Olde non-aero DA brake levers, olde Campy RD... But decals from a later era.

No way he gets $1300. I kinda think repaint (is it even a Paramount?) and parts bin build. I think they're one of those people that ask at least double what they think they can actually get. Or maybe a dreamer.

So every ride I am getting brake rub on the front rotor. I usually stop loosen the wheel and re tighten the wheel and it magically goes away, until I need to use the front brake again. When looking at my pads and rotor head on, the rotor is extremely close to the outside pad. What do I need to do about this?

If you have a pad thats inside the disk that might be the problem.

I loosen one bolt on the caliper @ a time and move it over to even the gap. Put the wheel on something white so you have a bright background, it helps a lot. Then look @ the gaps. Adjust the other side of the caliper.

I suffer from retinal hemorrhages and developed one in the last day or so. Off to see the specialist so no riding today. :(

Yeah, a little bit at a time spreads the pain out, but overall the price tends to be higher on a piecemeal build. Kind of annoying when the end value is less than the sum of the parts, but I suppose that's (literally) the price you pay for getting exactly what you want.

Most any modern complete would be pretty agreeable to me. I'm a bit picky about aesthetics but so long as the shifters have under-tape routing and the crank isn't hideous most modern bikes are pretty sweet. My two requirements for frame aesthetics are that the downtube is the same cross-section the entire length and if it's a metal frame the welds need to either be very small or filled and blended à-la Cannondale.

All depends on what prices you are getting for parts. My bikes, new are 10k or more . I paid no where near that. My disk bike cost me more because its all new modern tech. I've built entire bikes (nice ones) for what I paid for that group set.

So I have rewaxed 2 of my 4 bike chains. I really like the crock pot for doing this. One block of wax, 3/4 cup of lamp oil and some Teflon powder. Melt, stir, soak, and,, hang till cool.
I was going to re use the master links like I always have but I think I will swap them out for new ones. I'm having trouble trusting them used.

Phish Food verdict: it's not the best ice cream in the world, but it may be the hardest to stop eating. There's a very addictive, just-one-more-spoonful quality about it - you would not want to bring a spoon to the open container, lest you find yourself looking at an empty container shortly thereafter.

Appropriate term for an ice cream in this thread. I think the addictive quality is from the variety of inclusions so you want the marshmallow, then the fudge fish, then some caramel, and soon you’ve hit the bottom. And just ride enough that you can kill the pint.

I mean, you’re wrong about “not the best”, but that’s ok.

This was exactly my thought. It's like a well-designed video game - you can just-one-more-thing until you notice that it's 3am.

Not studying, but animal nursing (veterinary technician) is paying the bills. I was an EMT for a couple of years, too- kinda bummed I had to set that aside but there was too much on my plate at the time to juggle everything.

Thanks. I got an injection of Avastin in my left eye and will have to have injections every month or so for 2-3 years. I had a vitrectomy in my right eye some years ago but my specialist wants to try injections in the eye this time, but 2-3 years is a lot of injections. :(

I had bleeding back in Jan-Feb but it seemed to be OK but it returned Wednesday and I knew by last night that I was screwed.
