Thanks for the info on bike space availability. Perhaps people are taking their bikes north for leaf peeping rides. Hopefully the popularity of bikes on trains compels Amtrak to add more capacity....

I rode it from East Hampton to Rte. 207 in Lebanon in September on a fully loaded touring bike with 700x35's. A couple of soft sandy areas but mostly hard packed. No real problems.
