The only aluminum bike i've ridden in the past few years was the Trek Emonda ALR. I have a carbon SLR and was impressed on how it handled and it's relatively inexpensive price compared to the SLR.

Actually I own a emonda slr and rented a emonda sl while on vacation. I can tell you the slr has a stiffer bottom bracket and climbs better.

So in my experience there is a difference.

Thanks guys.. I purchased a pair of 5Ks. Surprised that they are also cheaper.

My 4Ks were 25mm and a 28 rubbed in the front. I'll see how the %ks fit and maybe buy a 28mm to test fit.

Removing the crank and fork are not difficult and should be greased occasionally. I service the bottom bracket bearings every 1000 miles.

Yes, about 100 yards south of Linden. The preserve is a mess with trees down all over the place. Not sure if the town or county is responsible but the stream is clogged with debris and down trees.
