I unpacked the frame and it had a black piece of plastic holding the dropout.

just a question...how do you know the seat post is backwards? or is it the clamp that is backwards, because the actual post is just a completely even cylinder all the way down....

Do you still have the seat connected to use as leverage? Put the seat on and tilt the bike sideways a little and pull on the seat while quickly rotating the seat from side to side.

The crank is horribly bent, almost to the point of touching the frame. If you look at the second picture (which says 12 vitesses on the chainstay) the paint is scratched as a result of the crank...
