If you plan on riding a lot you will get sick of SORA very fast. My dad owns a bike with sora and even though he rarely rides the shifters have worn much faster than 105-->DA. and its a PITA to tune...

Keep in mind there are plenty of girls out there that think guys with shaved legs in spandex look good.... you're not 20+lbs over...

I never have trouble doing 20 minute tests or training on the trainer. I do it at night with windows open a ceiling fan on & a fan blowing right at my face. works fine. I would give it a shot.

Opinion? I think those are a waste of money for 'training' wheels. But I think they are nice wheels, a few friends are riding the non-carbon version and have good things to say.
