My first serious bike was a 1987 Cannondale SR400 and I’ve kicked myself a dozen times for getting rid of it. It was a great bike and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another one. However, it would have...

Fuji & Marin have some options

Take a look at the Fuji Absolute or the Marin Fairfax. Both are decent hybrids from respectable brands for less than $450.

I've read in a couple of these threads that "the cockpit feels a bit cramped." If you've converted a mtb to drop bars, do you find that to be the case? The reason I'm asking is that I have a 1990...

A Hardrock Swing and a Miss

I picked up a 90’ish Specialized Hardrock today. It was listed on Craigslist for $40 and I got it for $35, but wasn’t sure if it would fit me. Unfortunately, it’s way too big; I need a 16” inch frame...

Austro-Daimler Project

Just picked up what I believe to be an early 70’s Austro-Daimler AD-S. It looks rough...really rough... but my initial impression is that the frame is still in good shape.
It has a Huret Allvit...

Terry Symmetry or Trey?

I'm going to look at a bike this evening that is listed as a "Terry 21 speed bicycle" for $25. It looks to be in good shape and if it's really a Terry Symmetry, it's a steal at $25. However, the...

My wife has been looking at Loops for awhile now, but I've been skeptical. Nice to know that they are decent out of the box and worth putting a little extra time and $ into. Thanks!
