Well done! I held off buying b/c I couldn't spec it out (at the time) for less than $500 total.

Not mine, but a bike I built for a friend with parts found round the shop. She wanted a 'road bike' but we didn't have any 700c frames small enough...so I turned a 26 inch bike into a drop bar...
