The VAR cable & housing cutter is what I've used in the past without much fuss. Put a scrap piece of inner cable inside the housing when you cut it to prevent it from squishing and cut quickly.

It's basically a copy of the Campy Nuovo Record and there's nothing overly awkward about it, you just need to tighten the bolts from the top using a 10mm wrench.

Those pedals are designed to be used on e-bikes, when the people riding them actually pedal about 2% of the time they're on the bike. They're basically "foot platforms".

That chain is the only one I've ever broken. It had about two miles on it and one of the side plates split in half while climbing a hill.
