This race is being held 10 miles from my house. It's the first year it's been held.

As of now, there are 53 riders registered and there are at least 7 racers in every category.

Yeah, just ask! Heck, my local shop keeps chains in a drawer behind the counter...the owners/employees are definitely aware that they work in a shop with one brand and no outside sign and funky...

As I understand it, the weakness with the Belgian method is still the tape. Yeah, you have a layer of glue on top, but that doesn't help much if the tape starts to fail adhering to the rim.

It's a very beefy frame: welds are overdone, reinforced in key areas, frame is very "sturdy". When I worked at a Trek dealer, we generally sold the Opie to kids looking to beat the crap out of it...

There was alot of it present on the back nine section near the beer. That whole run up area was cut through some ivy as was the area where most spectators were standing.:(
