It does not have brakes. At around 200lbs of cargo I can tell that I'm having to ask a lot more of my Tern's brakes. They are Magura 4-pistons with 180mm rotors which are actually pretty fantastic....

Yeah I had to spend quite a bit of time figuring out how to prevent rotating of the struts. There are a few connectors they sell which prevent it for sure. But not as robust as welding!

All Tern GSD models also have a Performance CX motor (they call it the CX Cargo or something, but same same generally speaking). I'd recommend the Tern because I totally love mine :)

The rear isospeed definitely helps. It basically grants extra compliance without having to risk failing ISO frame tests quite so much.
