If you can live with 20" wheels, a foldie might meet your other criteria. The Raleigh i8 can be a step-through and it has a 7 speed Shimano Nexus internal hub. The 20" tires are fairly narro and...

@Glowboy, thanks for your input. I'm out of luck. It doesn't have disc brakes. It has V brakes that I think will not support 700c's. It'll be expensive to convert to 700's. I think I'll go with the...

I have a 3-year old Montague DX with 26" wheels. Can I/has anyone put 700c wheels on them? I can see that there may be enough clearance in both front and rear. Don't know if it will mean changing the...

Yes, I don't want one that I have to mount on the seat post. I plan to put a toddler's seat there and most racks of this kind can only carry up to 20 lbs. I like that Pletscher system. How did you...

Obvious question, but did you adjust the seat height? I have a Montague DX and I'm 6'. I can adjust it really low. Going from 26" to 24" won't solve your problem due to pedal clearance as mentioned...

Why not consider a 26" Montague if you're going 24" anyways. They come in 18" and 20" frames too. It's just an extra 2" seat tube.

How many folders can you fit in your trunk?

I got two in my Versa's.

Here's a link to the pic: http://m.flickr.com/photo.gne?id=7240854130&

Any guesses on what bikes these are?
