Harder to sell

It takes much more effort to sell recumbent bikes. The small market share makes it much more difficult. So much of a salesman's time is spent teaching customers about the bikes. That must help...

For most of us who do not race feeling like we are going fast is enough. It is really not about the x's and the o's. Lowracers are just fun to ride.:D:D

I find that looking side to side is a little more difficult on a recumbent than an upright...

Lightning version had 406 front wheel vs. standard M5's 451 front wheel. Also had a high chain routing over the front wheel.

I had a fellow recumbent rider tell me that someone passed him riding a yellow Baron on RAGBRAI. He said the guy was "fast". When he saw me riding a Baron I had instant respect.
